I've worked on a range of projects including large e-commerce, social networking, hosting management and complex integrated systems. Below is a selection of recent projects I have worked on.
Quotations Book.
I worked as the technical director on this project along side Chris Garret as the creative director. I developed a custom PHP MVC framework to power this web application. This project has some very unique features including a system which automatically searches Project Gutenberg's texts for any matching quotations in their texts. This website was featured at The Future of Web Apps 2007 as one of the keynote presentations. Please visit the Quotations Book site to experience the application in action.
The Big Picture Gallery.
The Big Picture wanted to add functionality to their site to allow people to send photos from mobile phones via MMS and needed a hook to get users onto the site after sending images. Along with Chris Garrett we created a 3D gallery interface users could navigate around to view the images. See the result at the Big Picture site.
Fabric London.
Fabric is one of the biggest nightclubs in London and also run their own record label. I worked closely with their in-house designer to produce a full e-commerce system so they could sell music and subscriptions online. A streaming media system using Flash was developed by myself to enable content subscribers to watch videos and listen to music while ensuring content protection from piracy by making it almost impossible to download files directly. More Dating.
More Dating aims to be one of a new bread of dating sites offering traditional date matching and combining social media aspects to form a community around the culture. This site was developed using Ruby on Rails and boasts a whole load of features such as google maps integration, user generated content and interactive quizzes.
